CCS Surveying now specialise in delivering complete management systems and solutions, from on the ground Data capture through to the complete management of this data in the office through a common web interface.
our systems allow Clients and Contractors to access data collected in the field on a live website. This enables all parties to manage and monitor the project more effectively by having access to up to date and accurate project information
Contract Tracking System:
CCS set about specifying a new Contract Tracking System for managing the 'flow' of data from
site through to billing. Through assistance from Queens University Belfast,and coupled with the
appointment of a new IT Officer within CCS offices, we were able to provide the necessary IT solution.
The function of the new system was to assist all parties in the operational element of the contract,
from survey to installation and ultimately to the client for billing purposes. Access to the Tracking
System is via the web, and this proved be of great benefit to the Project team overall. Providing
'live' access 24/7 brought its own share of additional maintenance as both the contractor and client
had frequent 'change requests' to enhance the project's 'data management'.
The number of system 'user accounts' has steadily increased as the contract progressed,
and to date there are over 50 users of the CCS Contract Tracking System on the Northern
Ireland Phase 2 Metering contract.

The 'flow' of data through the Tracking System is represented via a number of defined 'Statuses'.
Each member of the contract is responsible for the 'movement' of their own data.

In 2007, CCS Surveying was awarded a contracto to provide Northern Ireland Water (NIW) with a field capture and online data management solution to help with the implimentation of it's DSEAR project- "Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002". This porject invovled specialist surveyors visiting NIW Waster Water installations and conducting detailed surveys to assess risks relating to the regulations. This information was captured electronically in the field and sent directly to the CCS Management System.
